Modern Slavery: Awareness, Prevention, and Responsibility
Modern slavery remains a serious issue in the UK and affects some of the most vulnerable people in society. Raising awareness and understanding how modern slavery operates is an important step in recognising risks and supporting those who may be affected.
This course explores the key aspects and concerns surrounding modern slavery, with a particular focus on the UK context. It examines the movement, harbouring, and recruitment of both adults and children, supported by real-life case studies. Learners will gain insight into who is most vulnerable to human trafficking and explore the issue from a victim’s perspective, highlighting the devastating impact modern slavery can have on individuals and communities.
The course also provides guidance on what actions can be taken if concerns arise and introduces relevant contacts and charities that can offer support. Completed online in approximately 40 minutes, the course is designed to build awareness and encourage responsible action in workplaces and wider society. A downloadable certificate is provided on completion.
