Working Safely: Shared Responsibility in the Workplace
Working safely is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace. Health and safety is one of the few areas where the law places specific duties on employees as well as employers, making it essential that all staff understand where these duties apply and how to follow them correctly.
This course explains why safe working practices matter and how they help protect individuals, colleagues, and organisations. It covers a wide range of essential topics including fire safety, asbestos awareness, working at height, COSHH, personal protective equipment (PPE), and electrical safety. Learners also explore methods for improving safety performance and approaches to protecting the environment.
Suitable for employees across many sectors, the course is completed online and takes approximately 150 minutes. It provides practical guidance that supports safer day-to-day working and helps organisations strengthen their overall health and safety culture. A downloadable certificate is available on completion for training and compliance records.
The course is approved by IIRSM and CPD.
